Remove all
the leaves that fall below the water
line. These leaves breakdown and decay,
which promotes bacterial growth and
reduces the life of your flowers. |
| 2 |
To extend the life of your flowers,
re-cut the bottom of the stems diagonally
using a sharp knife (no scissors). |
| 3 |
Arrange the flowers in a clean, deep
vase with luke-warm water, then mix
in the floral preservative provided
by the florist. |
| 4 |
Top up the water daily, but do not
empty the vase otherwise you will lose
all the plant food nutrients in the
water. |
| 5 |
Place your flowers in a temperate
location away from electrical appliances
and direct sunlight. Appliances such
as televisions give off heat, causing
flowers to dehydrate. Avoid particularly
humid or drafty areas. |
